Encompassing three square miles in the southern half of Westchester, the hamlet of Hartsdale is officially part of the town of Greenburgh, with its own ZIP code, post office and fire district — although not its own local government. With a small downtown shopping area and apartment buildings on E Hartsdale Avenue, and its winding country roads and stone walls, Hartsdale offers both the bustling atmosphere of city-life, as well as the small-town suburban feel.
