I would consider everything I do to be human services oriented. It’s been the theme of my life, in my nursing and teaching careers, and in all my real estate interactions. I pride myself in being able to connect with people, help them understand their goals, define their specific needs, and then support them through the process with expert guidance and personalized attention. In many cases, I even help them prepare in advance for making those decisions and working toward them. I help my clients find spaces that work for them, reconcile differences between wants and needs, and negotiate the details to make it all come together!
In addition to residential real estate expertise, I hold the Commercial & Investment Real Estate Certification (CIRE), the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) certification, and have been practicing real estate for over 40 years. I have seen and can do it all! I also serve on the Fair Housing and Professional Standards committees at my local Board of Realtors. I am bilingual Spanish and English with English being my native and dominant language, and first generation on my mother’s side from Nicaragua.
I am a firm believer in creating positivity and progress in my community. I currently participate on the Citizen Advisory Board for the Mt. Vernon Comprehensive Plan Committee and as Chair of the Rotary International Club in Mt. Vernon, with multiple other positions served in the recent past. I have demonstrated success in community conversations, facilitating change, and team building throughout my various career and personal paths. Using my teaching certification, I have also recently undertaken mentoring at the local Boys & Girls Club.
